Know your stars

Yes, most of your questions are answered in our monthly outreach program "know your stars" at JN Planetarium, Bangalore.

So what are you waiting for.. block your calender for this fantastic program jointly organized by Bangalore Astronomical Society and JN Planetarium every month.

This program is specially designed to all the age groups, who want to "get started" with astronomy. mostly teachers and high school students find it interesting and interactive.

Provided clear skies, we will also arrange for the telescopic observation of moon and Jupiter.

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bangalore in collaboration with Bangalore Astronomical Society is conducting it's September outreach program called -- Know Your Stars.

Its basically a constellation familiarization session inside the artificial sky-dome at JNP, followed with observations through telescopes (if skies clear out).

The agenda covers an introduction to night sky, identification of constellations and planetary locations for the month, observation of Jupiter and other objects through a telescope (Subject to weather conditions), which will help you learn and navigate the sky on your own.

There will also be an Ask An Astronomer session, wherein your queries, post-session, will be answered by a professional astronomer.

Note : Its an open-for-all program, without ANY restrictions. Please get your friends along. There would be only a nominal entrance fee (Rs. 15/-) charge by Planetarium, for accessing their sky-dome.
